So I recently had the pleasure to work with Photographer Texas and Stylist Rose on a shoot as soon as i got back from my mini-vacay in the Dominican Republic. Here’s the story line I was given: Story Line
A young Dominican maroon runs away from her plantation and ventures off into the mountains in order to obtain freedom and to find her people. She stumbles upon this afro-pyschdelic world in which she recognizes her unique background and skills that would make her a successful leader for the rebel slaves.Location: THE YARD in Red Hook, Brooklyn (Ran by Mean Red / Good Peoples)
StylingDress: A very long loose, flowly, dress with patterns similar to the Caribbean culture/color. Particularly, blue white and red.
I wore the most amazing dresses,jewelry and shoes..Thanks to Rose. To top it off, one of my favorite pieces was the head piece custom ordered from Tarina Tarantino. It was a tad bit heavy so i wouldn’t recommend wearing it around town. The dresses were amazing…long and flowing.Which made me want to run like a fairy thru the yard with my dress swaying behind me aka :::Fairy Run::: , That’s when Rose dubbed me Fairy lol. There was a total of 5 or 6 dresses, Tons of jewelry and the heels that made me look about 6’3. All in good fun.
