People are afraid of themselves, or their own reality; there feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bull shit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. Its all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality.  You should stand up for the right to feel your pain.

Ahhh the unofficial end of summer is approaching us this weekend, and its all very bittersweet. As far as my summer went it was OK, I met alot of new people and lost alot of old people, which I’m perfectly fine with. Most “friends” only last the season, so its not like I’m heartbroken, I dont get attached easily anywho. But the ones that have stuck it out I appreciate you <3 .With that said why not try yummy new foods that just scream summer fun..

    Susage and Pepper Hero

    Ingredients

    • 2 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
    • 1 pound(s) red bell peppers, thinly sliced
    • 1 large red onion, thinly sliced
    • 2 clove(s) garlic, thinly sliced
    • 1 teaspoon(s) dried oregano, crumbled
    • 1/2 teaspoon(s) crushed red pepper
    • Kosher salt
    • 6 chicken sausages, about 5 ounces each, preferably with roasted pepper or parsley and cheese
    • 3 long hero rolls, split lengthwise

    Directions

    1. Heat a large cast-iron or nonstick griddle (you can also use 2 cast-iron or nonstick skillets). Add the oil, bell peppers, onion, garlic, oregano, and crushed red pepper and season with salt. Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until the peppers are softened and just beginning to brown, 6 minutes. Push the vegetables to the back of the griddle, cover with an inverted heatproof bowl, and keep warm over low heat; stir occasionally as you cook the sausages.
    2. Prick the sausages with a knife and cook over moderate heat, turning occasionally, until no trace of pink remains, 10 minutes. Add the sausages to the vegetables and keep warm. Brush the rolls with oil and toast on the griddle. Fill the rolls with the sausages and peppers, cut each one in half, and serve.

Being bored at work can cause you to google all sorts of things, some being “I’m bored” , “How many pieces of gum are on NYC sidewalks” and all sorts of things. As I was getting my google on I came across a site that delivers free snacks to your job Super Max Snack, just because! Awesome right?  BUT being the true NYer I am and knowing nothing is ever free, especially in NY I was a little freaked out, but I tried it anyway. Sketched out I went along and ordered it via SMS (Super Max Snack, get it? lol) with my name and address expecting a scam of some sort. Nope, they sent a confirmation text right away and said they’ll be right over with my snack. NEAT-O!  Now we wait…..

Few mintues later they sent me another text “Kirsy your MaxSnack is on its way to _____ . It should be there around 3:26pm. Enjoy”

Come 3:28pm I get a call from the delivery guy saying he’s outside with my snack! AMAZING! The guy hand delivered me a brown paper bag with a sticker on the front, he wouldn’t even let me tip him. Signed for my package and went along my way. Look at the goodies i got…

I got a Starbucks frappuccino drink, a plum and a small strawberry cheesecake! How fun is that?! Here’s what they sell you on on the website…

“It’s rough out there – the heat in the city, the economy, the oil spill, and the wars carry on. We at MaxDelivery asked ourselves – how can we make things better?

So here’s our way to brighten your day – with a FREE little pick-me-up snack, a “Super Max Snack”. It’s on us and we will deliver it right to your door ASAP. Simply send us an SMS text with your address and we’ll be right over with a little treat to bring a smile to your face.

Will it ‘tame’ the heat in NYC? Bring ‘peace’ to the Middle East? Or ‘breathe’ life into the economy?”

Definitely brought a smile to my face! Iced up my coffee and got back to work! :) Thnx Super Max Snack

This zodiac sign is ruled by the planet Mercury. Virgos are typically characterized by their love for cleanliness. They have a knack for hygiene and an eye for detail, which makes them a perfectionist by virtue. Conservative, with a rather reserved approach, Virgo individuals are polite and soft spoken (I dont think im soft spoken AT ALL lol). They are methodical and practical in the way they lead their life and have a logical mindset. They appreciate things of beauty, are very tidy by nature and like to keep their surrounding highly clean.

Virgos can be emotionally cold, to the extent that they can shrink from committing themselves to new relationships in life (So true). They exert a careful disposition, in terms of friendship, and maintain it on the superficial levels (Can’t trust everybody..). Another specific Virgo characteristic is their expectation from others. A Virgo individual expects a lot from others. They are often found to be unconvinced with work of others and try to pick mistakes each time. This is because of the flair for details, which is one of the dominant signs of a Virgo individual.

    Traits of a Virgo:

    Analyst

    Purist

    Plays safe

    Worrier

    Has mood swings

    Perfectionist

    Easily learns mastery

    Demands respect

    Fair judgement

    Pessimistic

    Frequently depressed

    Destructive at times

Virgo Love Traits: Virgos are highly trustworthy and genuine in their relationships.

They are very considerate of the ones who are important to them.

They are very committed in any relation.

You will hardly find Virgo who is not protective of his relationships.

Being very organized, Virgos also bring order in their lover’s life.

Known to be an independent sign, some people also find them cold and emotionally detached. However, they are very devoted and loyal in love and can make for ideal partners.

The best way to attract Virgos is to intellectually stimulate them. Facts and details impress them and they are highly likely to loose their heart to an intelligent and ambitious person.

Likes: Pursuit of trueness, Standards, Neat & Tidy, Friendliness

    Dislikes: Chaos, Noise, Change, Nagging

Being the creep I am, and my obsession with one of my good friends William Yan blog, I went back to some of his very first post to get some inspiration and see how he started his blog and how it turned into the amazing site it is now, so amazing Kanye West even tweeted about it. So with that said I had to re-blog one of his first post that totally brightened up my day and inspired me to take care of my little baby (my blog)

“You have to be responsible for your own life, and this blog is my shot at it, it features and captures everything I want. I decide what’s worthy and helpful for me and my readers. You get the real inside scoop on what’s in my mind, what influences me and hopeful sparks something in you. I would love to make a living out of this and best believe this is one of my goals. Another one is to inspire my readers, you, to live your own life; take responsibility of what you want to do cuz there is so much undiscovered talent in everybody who isn’t afraid.Stop complaining about your current job situation and do something about it. Be 100% responsible and like what big homie Jay-Z said “change the game.” -WY”

Will inspires me everyday to live the bloggers dream <3 I appreciate him

Just looking at the picture my mouth is watering! Guess what I’m making for dinner tonight? SCORE! I found this recipe yesterday and I couldnt wait to post it on the blog, I love potatoes, I love onions and I love BACON!!!!! all together must be the biggest explosion of amazing on your taste buds!

    Here’s the recipe..

  • 3 1/2 pound(s) large Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled, quartered
  • 1/2 pound(s) carrots, peeled, coarsely shredded
  • 6 slice(s) smoked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon(s) canola oil
  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoon(s) fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup(s) buttermilk, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon(s)
  • Directions

In a large saucepan, cover potatoes and carrots with 2 inches of cold water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon drippings from skillet; add oil and onion to drippings and sauté 10 minutes or until softened and lightly browned. Stir in thyme; cook 2 minutes longer.

When potatoes are fork-tender, drain in a colander and transfer mixture to a large bowl. Add buttermilk, butter, and salt; mash with a potato masher until potatoes are smooth, with small flecks of carrot visible. Stir in onions. Crumble bacon over top.

Leave me a comment if any of you guys try it! I would love to know what you thought of it :)

So this doesn’t really count as food, but I do NEED my daily dose of cupcakes without the 4682 calories each one has, so here’s a alternative…

Straight from the genius factory at Post come the delicious, probably not nutritious, Cupcake Pebbles. You surely know of Cocoa Pebbles and Fruity Pebbles but did you also know that there have been many other varieties of Pebbles cereal throughout time? There have been Fiesta Fruity Pebbles, Half Sugar Fruity Pebbles, Cinna-Crunch Pebbles, Dino Pebbles (vanilla flavored with marshmallows), Dino Smores Pebbles, Marshmallow Mania Pebbles, Bronto Bright Pebbles, and Bamm-Bamm Pebbles.

    I DIE.
