FOOD | Santa Ana

So after having that amazing meal that was Lotus of Siam in Vegas I’d figure nothing would top it right? Wrong! That same night after our amazing meal we started to drive out to Santa Ana, California finally arriving at 2am or so, with that exhaustion and a decent night of sleep I was ready for more food like the fat kid I am on the inside. So we headed to the restaurant who like a dummy I didn’t get the name of! It was about 10 of us again so family style dining was in order (my favorite! more people, more food to eat yummm) I got completely obsessed with their Thai Ice Tea GOOD LORD it was a delicious!

Here’s our lobster before..

FOOD | Lotus of Siam Vegas

I don’t think I can praise how amazing this food was! I’m a huge fan of Thai food, but this spot put all the other places to shame! Majority of the time my mouth was burning up from how spicy everything was so having 5 cups nearby is a good idea if you aren’t use to that much spice. The wait was about 45 mins even though the place looked fairly empty other than the few diners and Andrew Zimmern from Bizzare Foods and his camera crew ( a good indication the spot is bombbbb). From outside the restaurant looks like a whole in the wall, but like most underrated amazing places this is a good indication the food is going to be good! It was a bunch of us so we got about 8 different plates of family style servings of food, honestly I can’t start to explain how good everything was! and don’t get me started on the fried banana and coconut rice ice cream we had for dessert. It’s definitely in my top 5 food destinations that everyone should try..

PROJECT VEGAS | Day 3

PROJECT VEGAS | Day 3

Last day! Definitely not enough time, this is what I get for being late! After a long night out (and a 3 hour difference) I was exhausted the next morning but I definitely wanted to go see more of my favorite brands including PROJECT Wooster by Nick Wooster, the ex-Men’s Fashion Director of Neiman Marcus Group Services and current Fashion Advisor at Gilt Group (See last post with camo couch). I even got to do a mini shoot for HighSnobette again where they styled me with my favorite  Publish Brand floral cargo pants  and artist-designed top and jacket by Emerald Couture and bangles by Sweet Evie. So in other words the outfit was killlerrrrrrr, can’t wait to get the rest of the shots! Sneak peak…

PROJECT VEGAS | Day 2

Yes day 2, completely missed day 1 of Project Vegas because I decided to book my flight late and traveling day of ended up being tons cheaper! But none the less I made the best of the remaining two days I had left to explore the massive space that Project Vegas was held in, much bigger than NY. First and foremost was visiting my Publish Brand family at their booth where I spent the majority of my time after exploring for a bit and retrieving to the booth to rest my feet, horrible idea wearing six inch heels to walk around all day! First day was overwhelming! So many brands to go see, didn’t know where to start! eeekkkkk

American Apparel Viscose Long Scoop Back dress and TopShop Office heels (6 inches!)

Nightlife at the Cosmopolitan Hotel (I die!!)

FILM | Day In the City

Still messing around with my film camera which I still haven’t gotten use too! You really start appreciating natural lighting when you start using a film camera without a flash, but I guess that just makes for better pictures right? Well I wouldn’t say better pictures but definitely more thought out pictures where you aren’t just snapping away with a digital. With film you have to analyze your angles, lighting, and focus all at the same time! Sounds hard but I’m sure when I get a hang of it I’ll never go back to digital :) These are just some shots I took while I was roaming around the city one day with my friend Will..
