5 Must Have Masks
When it comes to skincare I’m open to trying anything that will make my skin look it’s best. Yes, I have days I’m all for the 10-step routine, other days I can barely grab a makeup wipe to take off the nights makeup (honestly I barely wear makeup but the city is a dirty place). So when I’m feeling hashtag selfcare and hashtag lazy in the same sentence I mask. There seems to be a mask for every skin concern but here I picked out my top 5 favorites:
1. Peter Thomas Roth- Moor Mud Mask
Price: $58
Benefits: Purifying, decongesting and hydrating mask with odorless Irish Moor Mud helps draw out dirt, oil and grime as it infuses skin with moisture, vitamins, essential minerals and potent anti-oxidant benefits.
I love this mask because it has the same benefits as that super purifying mask that was all over instagram without the painful pulling of your skin ripping skin and eyebrow hairs. Also a little goes a long way.
2. Joanna Vargas- Exfoliating Mask
Price: $75
Benefits: This gentle exfoliating treatment uses fruit derived enzymes and a fusion of volcanic ash and mineral-rich clay to gently draw out impurities. The end result is clear pores and a brightened, smooth, glowing complexion.
On top of being the yummiest mask i’ve ever smelled it also exfoliates which sounds like a win win to me (lazy me that is). You leave on the mask for 15 mins and when you rinse off you also exfoliate which makes for super soft baby skin afterwards.
3. Peter Thomas Roth- Gold Mask
Price $80
Benefits: The ultimate luxurious anti-aging treatment, this rich mask is infused with Pure 24K Gold and Colloidal Gold to help improve the appearance of firmness and impart an opulent glow.
Yes, this one is a bit pricey but worth every penny and honestly who doesn’t like to treat themselves. I only use this one on “special occasions” aka a cute girls night out or if I have a photoshoot to really make my skin sparkle. I swear it leaves a natural highlight thats unmatched.
Price: $28
Benefits: Glow big with our innovative 2-in-1mask! Made with Mediterranean Rose Clay, Canadian Willow Herb and exfoliating Jojoba beads, it helps gently deep clean while refining skin's texture. Pores appear to vanish. Clarity is restored. Glow is instant
This one is also a 2-in-1 mask because it has light exfoliation like the JV mask, so definitely getting more for your buck. I’ve been using this mask for yearsssss, back when I first started really getting into skincare one of the employees at Sephora recommended this and i’ve been using it ever since. Days I woke up hungover AF this was my one remedy to make my face look put together and the price isn’t too shabby either.
5. Peter Thomas Roth- Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
Price: $58
Benefits: This powerful, triple-action manual, chemical and enzymatic exfoliating treatment addresses a dull, aging, and congested complexion in three ways: exfoliates with Pumpkin Enzyme, reveals with Alpha Hydroxy Acid and polishes with Aluminum Oxide Crystals.
Last but certainly not least is my fall favorite pumpkin spice enzyme mask (I’m basic ok). Not only does this mask put you in the fall mood but it helps congested skin with a mild chemical exfoliation that helps brighten congested overly tanned skin (guilty of not always wearing sunscreen).
If you’re anything like me, you probably leave your face mask for entirely wayyyy too long, but lucky for you these mask won’t dry out your skin no matter how long it’s on (you should probably still wipe it off after an hour though haha).
What are some of your favorite mask?
